We love this video clip from DailyMotion contributor Weird_Weird_Science a whole lot, for the following reasons:
-it shows how completely amazing modern microscopy is-it shows how incredibly complicated even the simplest, most homogeneous-seeming materials can be
-it reminds us of the Eames' Powers of Ten movie that blew our minds back in fourth grade
-the precise commentary in Attenborough-like British cadence makes us feel smarter
-it comes in good company: other clips posted on the same page include zooms into concrete, aluminum, brass, carbon fiber, and...um...hair
