Codetta Product Design, of Victoria, British Columbia, recently completed design of the I-Stop for Carmanah Technologies. The I-stop is a solar powered LED illuminated transit stop system featuring three user activated features; An area light illuminating the stop area providing safety and visibility for waiting passengers. Another light signals the bus driver indicating someone is at the stop. The third backlights the schedule for nighttime visibility. Damon Langlois, Founder of Codetta notes "Carmanah's solar powered products are great for city works because they are installed totally independent of the power grid. This not only saves on energy consumption but also on installation logistics".
