Studio Platform -- Clock and BagHanger

London's Studio Platform has recently completed a project for fcuk - a UK based high street fashion outlet - dealing with packaging material wastage & sustainability issues within the fashion packaging industry. The brief called for the designers to package several products from the fcuk cosmetic line which come in bottles.

Studio Platform's two concepts are designed to attract the consumer to buy at point of sale context in the retail environment as well as performing as useful products at home.

Clock -- in the retail environment the base of the packaging flickers and emits blurred red light. Once home the package is flipped on to its back and becomes a bedside table clock. The dish on top is to put objects such as watches and earrings in that the user would want to discard of prior to sleeping.
BagHanger -- borrowing from how clothes are displayed on hangers this concept presents accessories hooked on a pole in exactly the same way. When the bag hanger has been taken home and its contents vacated it is envisaged that clothing accessories which seasonally clutter the cupboard such as scarves, hats & gloves can be stored and hooked up out of the way as any other garment would.
