Fairfield, CT-based Product Ventures partnered with Frito-Lay to design, develop and deliver a breakthrough structural package for new Lay's Stax potato crisps. The chips are stacked in a portable, resealable, crush-resistant container that is convenient for on-the-go or at home (or anywhere else for that matter). Designing and delivering a thin-walled rigid container that resists the atmospheric pressures while maintaining a freshness seal on shelf and during use is a difficult challenge. Product Ventures designed, engineered and provided pilot tooling for rapid part production, package optimization and filling line tests.
