Anna Rabinowicz, a London-born designer currently living in New York, started Rab Labs, a young design and manufacturing company in 2002, with a new approach to developing products for the home. Her first project for Rab Labs was the Pedra series of cocktail coasters, made of slices of polished agate which are now sold in stores around the country. Following up on that she has just completed the Anel series of napkin rings. Designed as "jewelry for the table" the rings have bases of polished aluminum with tops of agate and pyrite, giving them the appearance of giant engagement rings.
