| Studio Lilica -- Light Forms Studio Lilica, a new design studio specializing in luminescent tensile fabric sculptures, opened its doors with a project for Universal Pictures Television's new mid-season offering, Century City, premiering March 16, 2004 on CBS. Based in Los Angeles, Studio Lilica designs and builds unique, architectural fabric sculptures for interiors, special events and film and television production. These 'light forms' utilize light and reflection to transform conventional spaces into extraordinary environments. Century City, set in the year 2034, required futuristic lighting elements to establish the tone of the show. Studio Lilica founder and lead designer Carl Royce says, "We're always working on new designs, shapes we've never seen before. So when we started working on Century City, it was really great to be able to realize a vision of the future through light and form to create a real sense of place."
