The German design firm f/p design gmbh, with headquarters in Frankfurt, has just opened an office in Tokyo to better serve their expanding Japanese and Asian clients. Since the founding of the company by Fritz Frenkler and Anette Ponholzer in the year 2000, the firm's Japanese client base has grown 60%. Recently, the company completed a design work on a new office chair for KOKUYO, a Japanese manufacturer of office furniture. The AGATA/D is a high-end office chair utilizing a fully adjustable, proprietary lumbar support mechanism and highly-cushioned tensile materials in the backrest. The new office, along with new projects for clients based in Korea and China, promises a bright future for f/p design japan.
