Canadian design consultancy Plastic Buddha, based in Winnipeg, recently completed work on the Zero Zero One pen, for Acme Writing Tools. Named Zero Zero One, after the international dialing code for Canada, the pen references contemporary society's obsession and reliance on technology while maintaining a connection with its past. The pen's graphic binary language of bronze zeros and ones subtly forms an underlying baroque pattern on a light blue background invoking our technology-centered present society while recalling the past.
