San Stone is a product development firm with design and sales offices in Chicago, and a manufacturing plant in Guangdong, China. The company offers turnkey design and production services, including industrial design, engineering, and contract off-shore manufacturing, with a particular focus on the Chinese market and Chinese manufacturing services. They recently completed work on The Scent Dome, a digital online scent product, developed for Trisnex. The Scent Dome is intended to to enhance online experiences (i.e. advertising) by reproducing a variety of scents to accompany specific content. The unit, which will retail for $269, attaches to a PC and uses a set of base aromas to produce the proper scent for the content. The project is currently being tested by U.K. broadband provider Telewest.
