Simone Pallotto is an Italian product designer currently based in Helsinki. He recently completed IKS, a trivet designed to protect tabletops from hot pots. The item is made of recycled wood obtained locally, and ships in a small package similar to a set of chopsticks. The two pieces fit together and can be hung up when not in use.
