meyerhoffer studio, a Northern California design firm active in a wide range of industries, recently worked with Scott International to develop the Biomex wintersports helmet. Company designers worked with medical researchers in Switzerland to integrate data on how your body actually moves in a crash.

The new helmet has an innovative roll-cage design with a low center of gravity, keeping it tight to your head and protecting the softest points of the skull. Other innovations include perforated aluminum venting, a 3-point goggle retention system and adjustable interior padding.

Thomas Meyerhoffer, who happily tested the product himself on the slopes last winter said "we are pleased that this thoroughly modern bucket is more than just a surface design - crafted from the inside out, its the safest helmet there is" earning both CE 1077 and ASTM 2040 certification. He adds "when you hit the slopes - or a tree - hard this season, we've got your brain taken care of."
