DD STUDIO, a product design firm located in San Diego, was recently honored with a UCSD CONNECT Most Innovative New Product (MIP) Award in Life Sciences for their work on the Ophthonix Z-View Aberrometer. The vision correction system uses Wavefront technology to provide eye care patients with a non-surgical alternative for high definition vision and up to 20/10 visual acuity.

DD STUDIO designed, developed and engineered the system, making use of distinct physical forms and a well-mapped graphical user interface. By focusing on both the patient and user, DD STUDIO created an inviting, open shape to ease patient concerns and enhance technician comfort.
