Eugene Maslov, a Russian designer working in Moscow, has developed an innovative trash bin meant for use on city streets. Made of recycled material and treated to be waterproof and fireproof, the bin is intended to be disposed along with the contents when full. There are two compartments inside, one is a general compartment with a capacity of 150-200 litres and a separate partition specifically for cigarettes. The bins would be delivered by sanitation workers in quantities and locations that vary according to need, and are designed to accomodate advertising on the sides, as a means of paying for themselves.

The first bins will appear on Moscow streets this summer.
