Mixko is a London-based design studio run by the husband and wife team of Nahoko Koyama and Alex Garnett. Their work has garnished acclaim from a variety of publications and design events over the last several years.

For the 2005 Salon de Mobile in Milan they will show a collection of new work, including a working prototype of their 'Headphone Speakers' pictured above. Styled on ear buds for mobile players, the speakers are 24cm in diameter and are designed to be hung from the ceiling or placed on the floor. You'll need to run your iPod through an amp to properly power the 130 watt speakers enclosed in the plastic housing.
