POLKA is a designlabel run by Monica Singer and Marie Rahm and based in Vienna, Austria. POLKA works in a wide range of areas, focusing on furniture and product design. Their latest project is MINImeter - a tape measure marked with all relevant dimensions of the MINI. The MINImeter gives precise mesaurements of inner and outer sizes, so you can determine in advance if the chair you want to buy will fit into your car, or if a parking spot is too small. The back side features a fine selection of worldwide race-tracks - just in case you'd rather race than park.

The design team set out 'to create the ultmate tool for the MINI-afficionado.' While thinking about if size really does matter, they came up with the idea for the MINImeter. Their project won first prize at the creative competition by MINI-Austria at the last Blickfang- Design-Fair in Vienna.
