Regarded and renowned NYC based industrial designer Scott Henderson manages his own firm, Scott Henderson Inc., and is a cofounder of Mint design, a design collective located New York. One of his newest innovations is the Z-series ironing board designed for Polder. The clean, no frills aesthetic is friendly to the modern abode, while the dynamic form accommodates better functionality. The Z-like leg configuration allows for superior stability and open/close operability without the risk of losing a finger. The board is composed of formed and stamped sheet metal with a heat-resistant silicone surface. The sizeable cradle area is well defined with a rail for hangers or spray bottles. Henderson also incorporates electrical wiring throughout the frame with an outlet on the underside of the board so the user can easily plug in the iron while eliminating dangerous hanging wires.
