B/E Aerospace -- Eos Airlines Cabin
Transatlantic business travelers have taken countless flights with limited maneuverability, cramped conditions and zero sleep, most likely due to an argyle sock-clad foot resting two inches away from their head that emits waves of foul cheese-like odors. In collaboration with Eos Airlines, B/E Aerospace, the world's leading manufacturer of cabin interior products for commercial aircraft and business jets, has conjured up a cleverly configured modular passenger cabin design for Eos, the first airline to focus on transatlantic business travel.
B/E Aerospace's North Carolina based design studio aimed to resolve key issues in business travel such as overall passenger comfort and convenience, maximum privacy, working accommodations, and efficient space allotment. The high surrounding shell around each personal unit provides exceptional privacy of sight and sound, while the roomy seat with plenty of leg-room converts into a horizontal lie-flat bed. Window-side passengers benefit from the generous 3-window view, while the aisle passengers are compensated with large side-seat cubbies fit for a briefcase, laptop, and newspapers. All passenger units have an adjustable ottoman that can also be used as secondary seating, especially when the tray table is deployed, creating an instantaneous table for two. The staggered configuration of the units provides abundant space between passengers for easy movement and access to aisles, even when all seats are fully reclined. The end result is an efficient and modern interior environment with color and trim accents designed by Onoma LLC.
