| ID-ONE -- Eames Office PC ID-ONE is a multidisciplinary design firm comprised of industrial and graphic designers and engineers who work together to design within a wide range of fields including consumer, educational, commercial, and industrial markets. One of their newest concepts is the Eames Office PC, a Zero Footprint PC for office environments that hangs on a cubicle wall or other vertical surface, elevating the PC off the desk or floor. The power source and all data are transmitted through a single cable and via Bluetooth technology to minimize wire clutter, and an optional VoiP telephone handset is offered as well. The simple and elegant formed plywood frame, inspired by the classic furniture designs of Charles and Ray Eames, becomes a warm and inviting element within the quintessentially cold and sterile office environment. When the need for upgrading arises, the plywood frame is retained and only the compact CPU module is replaced. In turn, this results in less material to upgrade and less material in landfills. Unlike the massive humming gray towers that take up the majority of leg room under the desk, the efficient Eames Office PC aims to better the proverbial stark, semi-private communal workspace where many of us spend a third of our lives.
