Patton Design, an Irvine, California based industrial design consultancy, introduces the PodFreq, an FM transmitter and dock that broadcasts music from an iPod mini to any nearby FM radio or tuner. The PodFreq encases the mini in its jewel-case like housing, integrating it into the device, which is just about the same size as a standard iPod. It can be used in the car, at home, or anywhere else with an available FM frequency, making your entire music collection accessible so you can blast your sweet jams for everyone around you. Multiple units can be simultaneously broadcasted on the same station, let's say perhaps for an iPod DJ battle...errr...brawl with a few PodFreq'd friends in your Ford Fiesta. The PodFreq comes with a car charger and USB port and is both PC and Mac compatible.
