His new Meibo portable communications device concept utilizes the latest in wireless information exchange technology and is designed to encourage communication amongst people within the same vicinity, whether strangers or friends. The back and forth dialogue mimics today's popular use of instant messaging while in the context of various real world environments. The intended function is likened to a "message in a bottle" or "sending out an SOS" (here's to you Stingray). For example, if someone needed directions to the nearest police station, the message is sent and received by Meibo users within a close proximity who can then reply with an answer. Yes, of course this could potentially get creepy, but Meibo is versatile in utility and intended for both social and commonplace situations.
