Florensis is a seed and seedling nursery with operations in the Netherlands, Kenya and Germany. The Innovation Lab at the Delft, Netherlands based industrial design firm FLEX has developed a thermo plastic tray for use in horticultural environments that far surpasses the customary limited-use polystyrene trays in performance and structure, as well as aesthetics. Undesirable issues such as limited durability and breakage encouraged Florensis to enlist FLEX's help in the creation of a product superior to the commonly used disposable trays.

The injection-molded polypropylene trays are aimed to conserve material, therefore they are 20 percent lighter than other synthetic trays and are easy to handle and clean. The tray incorporates "in mold labeling technique," a unique coding system that makes for effective logical organization for Florensis products. The simple, streamlined form keeps a clean appearance even after heavy use, ensuring clear tagging and a long lifespan.
