Notch Design is a full-service product design and development firm located in Providence, Rhode Island. The Toda Coat Rack is their newest self-released product, merging artful thinking, function and sustainability within a single object. The coat rack is fully functional when the hooks are pivoted out. When not in use, the hooks can be pushed back in place, flush with the frame, creating a simple graphic style piece acting as a wall decoration. This also alleviates the awkward protruding presence associated with most coat racks. The coat racks are constructed solely of environment-friendly Bamboo plywood and stainless steel hardware unlike similar fixtures that tend to use composite materials and harsh adhesives. Toda is available in 3 sizes and a variety of finishes with future potential for custom designs.
