Tobias Wong, a New York based conceptual industrial designer, has joined forces with renowned furniture designer Niels Bendtsen in creation of the Pentagon sectional sofa. In promotion of conversation and interaction, the sofa as a whole emulates Alexander Girard's infamous Conversation pit. As separate 108 degree sectional pieces, the Pentagon sofa takes on a political air with a myriad of potential associations. There are more than enough torrid associations to start up a hefty debate with the sofa arranged in its full pentagonal shape. The Pentagon sofa is manufactured by Bensen and will debut at Safety Nest (an extension of the MoMA SAFE design exhibition) in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
