Ben Oostrum Ontwerp, or BOO, is a newly sprouted Dutch design studio located in Rotterdam. BOO's Cross-Light adds bold 3-dimensional and geometric presence to any setting while offering the convenience of grouping and modularity. Cross-Light's stable proportions and scale, along with a color choice of white and orange, save it from the imminent lameness factor that so often greets many modern pop designs. The roto-molded polyethelene plastic light can be used either as a pendant or as a standing table lamp. The units can be grouped together to form larger cube/grid masses and also retain an eerie after-glow after the light has been switched off.
