Belkin, an internationally distributed brand of computer, electronic, and mobile device connectivity solutions, has teamed up with wireless technology manufacturer Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. to present the next Wi-Fi wonder, the CableFree USB Hub. CableFree users can place their USB devices anywhere in the room, eliminating the need for long cables. Laptops can be moved about the area without having to plug and unplug attached devices. The hub utilizes Freescale's UWB solution, enabling wireless rate transfers for video, audio, and data streams that are 100 times faster than Bluetooth and existing wired technology. CableFree will be distributed and available later this year.
