Journey onward and upward into the future of music. Cortex Design presents the Terpstra Generalized MIDI Keyboard, suited for both the recording studio and live performances. The Toronto based product design firm focused on key elements such as musical composition and performance, audio post, and live performance control. The keyboard is ideal for microtonal performance and composition (i.e. playing 55 notes per octave as opposed to the usual 12) and can easily switch from a typical velocity-sensitive key style to a position-sensitive fader. The Tron-like design appears overwhelmingly technical yet appealing and contemporary, directly reflecting the keyboard's advanced functions. Bleep-bleep-bloop.
