Designer Scott Klinker has developed a line for Context Furniture, a Detroit-based furniture design company led by husband and wife team Bryce and Kerry Moore. The Truss collection includes CNC-milled flat-pack furniture pieces such as cafe chairs, A-frame tables and benches, desks, children's chairs, and occasional tables, with case goods and shelving in the works. The graphic architectural truss-shaped cut-out treatment works well visually as well as structurally making the designs invincible to a stylish roundhouse kick to the face. The entire line is made from fused Baltic birch plywood with a choice of red, moss grey, espresso or white laminate or wood veneer. The desks and A-frame tables and benches can be linked into long horizontal configurations ideal for schools, offices, libraries and restaurants. The Truss collection is intended for a variety of contexts including residential, institutional, hospitality, and public spaces.
