Tangerine -- British Airways Club World

After six years of customer satisfaction, British Airways again asked London and Seoul-based product design firm Tangerine to create the next generation of Club World Seats. Tangerine's original design brought business class up to another level—a great base to evolve upon, to improve comfort, mobility, and style. Using the exact same original footprint, BA's new seats have 4 more inches of leg room and are 25% wider, accommodating the elbow-to-elbow width of 97% of business class travelers, compared to only 67% with the initial design. Lumisty film, traditionally used for shop windows, is sandwiched between two sheets of polycarbonate to create an electronic privacy screen for each individual seat. The "Z bed" combines an armchair and footstool for ultimate relaxation when awake and a completely flat sleeping surface for snooze time. The combination of accurate ergonomics, an increase in space and privacy, and streamlined form and fixtures are sure to please loyal British Airways Club World customers-- especially the ones who have noticed the 6 years of wear 'n tear...Is that pea soup?
