EVO Design -- Preserve Kitchen
Just as Organic food production is gentler on the environment, making products that reuse and recycle materials leaves a smaller environmental footprint. Two leading proponents of green design team up to create a line of kitchen products that will make a big impact in preserving the planet.
EVO Design, a Connecticut-based firm, joins forces with Recycline to bring consumers of all types products that perform flawlessly while respecting the planet. The new product line, called Preserve Kitchen, is a collection of durable, dishwasher-safe utensils currently available through Whole Food Markets. The product design itself takes cues from organic shapes found in nature--like the food storage container that resembles an apple, or the colander that looks like a strawberry. The commitment both companies have towards meeting eco-standards can be seen in their selection of materials and use of creative design solutions. Take for example, the Preserve Kitchen cutting board. EVO forgoes the standard rubber backing for a curved ledge design that holds the board in place while maintaining its sustainability. In addition to this, the whole line is made from 100% recycled materials and supports communities with #5 recycling. The full product line includes a 3.5 quart, easy-grip colander, a 100% post-consumer paper cutting board with petroleum-free coating, and stackable food storage containers with screw tight tops.
