The Vienna Biennale 2015 will take place from 11 June through 4 October, 2015. It is the first event of its kind to combine art, design, and architecture, with the aim of generating creative ideas and artistic projects to help improve the world. Its category-spanning, interdisciplinary approach and combination of artistic ambition and the creative economy open up new perspectives on central topics of our time and thus promote positive change in our society.
The exhibitions and projects at the 2015 Vienna Biennale will be hosted at different venues throughout the capital including the MAK – Austrian Museum of Applied Arts/Contemporary Art, Kunsthalle Wien, the University of Applied Arts Vienna's Applied Innovation Laboratory, the Architekturzentrum Wien and various public spaces. The exhibitions and projects will raise key questions for the future, such as the role of art, design and architecture as motors of change in society, the development of urban fabrics, sociological issues such as ageing populations and new ways of presenting art in the public domain.
