BarnRaise is a uniquely structured maker-conference out of the IIT Institute of Design that connects design firms, community-based organizations, and participants to address a social topic embedded in the Chicago community. Under the facilitation of a design firm, participants will work in multi-disciplinary teams to develop a user-centered understanding of a problem posed by a community organization and prototype viable solutions.
At BarnRaise 2015 we will be cross-pollinating design and healthcare.
Access to quality healthcare is a universal issue. In Chicago, proper healthcare services are still inaccessible to many people. We invite healthcare practitioners, designers, health care administrators, graduate students, and beyond to participate. Together we will reexamine the patient user journey in the access to care space with this timely conversation and co-creation of human-centered opportunities for impact.
Register today to join a team, learn more about human-centered design, make connections, and prototype valuable solutions around access to care for the city of Chicago
