This one-day executive education workshop led by Jeremy Alexis, senior lecturer at IIT Institute of Design will address the environmental conditions necessary to enable innovation practice to flourish inside organizations. The program will introduce diagnostics for identifying barriers to innovation including orthodoxies, risk, incentives, and others. It will offer approaches for building a culture of innovation addressing each one in ways that will result in more ideas making their way through the development pipeline.
About Jeremy
Jeremy Alexis is a senior lecturer at IIT Institute of Design. He holds both a bachelor of architecture and a master of design from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He currently teaches classes on economics and design, concept evaluation, design decision making, and problem framing. Before joining IIT Institute of Design as a full-time faculty member, Jeremy worked for Doblin, gravitytank, and Archideas. He has worked with clients such as Unilever, Motorola, Citibank, Pfizer, American Express, Target Corporation, and Zebra Technologies.

bswing and IIT Institute of Design have joined forces to seed new practices and encourage cross-fertilization of ideas in the Twin Cities design and business communities. Starting in Fall 2015, faculty from ID will lead a series of executive education workshop and design-related experiences ranging from innovation portfolio planning for product managers to a community design challenge for urban community development.
