Boisbuchet integrates innovative architecture and design into the splendid setting of a 19th century estate. We invest in a culture that respects the past and builds for the future, research into a sustainable relationship between the natural and the man-made and offer a creative environment for people of all cultures to share.
Boisbuchet's summer workshops have become an annual destination for designers, architects and artists who are curious about new experiences in their practice. Each week, world-renowned tutors and the international, entirely inclusive mix of students create another unique adventure.
Boisbuchet's workshops are an initiative of Vitra Design Museum's founding director Alexander von Vegesack, who started both projects at the same time. Today, Boisbuchet offers the most versatile and distinguished workshop program on the international design agenda and in 2016 sets its focus on "Origin and Translation".
This season presents 47 acclaimed tutors from 20 different countries and invites you to a rich diversity of practices: furniture and products, flowers, the landscape, choreography, fashion, costumes, decoration, art, curating and scenography, installations, interiors and architecture, craft, food and yoga, lighting, robotics, and engineering.
Discover our program and participate in your own journey between Origin and Translation with a unique experience at Boisbuchet!
