The ASLA-APA-AIA Annual Conference is a one-day interdisciplinary event jointly organized by the New York Metro Chapters of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA-NY), the American Planning Association (APA-NYM), and the American Institute of Architects (AIANY). Now in its fourth year, the 2016 Conference will build on the social themes of the three previous conferences and will focus on the seeds of urban transformation. A panel of experts from the related design professions, city government, academia, and community organizations will explore how urban catalysts – in the form of zoning, infrastructure, design, and major events – can ignite a process of re-shaping our neighborhoods and the greater city. In keeping with the format of past conferences, afternoon case studies and a tour will further highlight the significance of these transformative interventions.
Lunch is provided.
