Work: Ceramics in architecture is the first exhibition devoted to the uses, functions, symbolism and beauty of this type of ceramics, ranging from the ancient world to the present, especially in the Mediterranean area -including the Middle east.
The show will feature three hundred forty pieces of European centers, both public and private productions from ancient Mesopotamia to present innovative projects.
With this exhibition, the Design Museum will show the relevance of the use of ceramics in architecture, as well as highlight the survival of both tradition and innovation throughout time.
Around this exhibition, the Museum will offer a program of activities organized in collaboration with the Ceramic Chair of the International University of Catalonia.
