Fennia Prize 2009 - Good Design Grows Global
The Fennia Prize 2009 Competition is aimed at international companies applying design on a wide basis. Applications of design are expanding into new areas. Alongside product design, various services, such as banks, the insurance and finance sector and digital design utilize expertise in design.

The total prize sum to be distributed is EUR 35,000. The prize jury will rule on distributing the prize sum, provided however that the Fennia Grand Prix will be no less than EUR 15,000. The other awards are Fennia Prize awards and honourable mentions. The maximum number of awards is 28.

Each year a distinguished jury will award a $100,000 prize to support the development and implementation of a strategy that has significant potential to solve humanity's most pressing problems. Entries must present a bold, visionary, tangible initiative that is focused on a well-defined need of critical importance. They should be regionally specific yet globally applicable, and backed up by a solid plan and the capability to move the solution forward.

2008 Library for the 21st Century Design Competition
The American Institute of Architecture Students challenges students to learn about building materials, specifically architectural aluminum building products and systems and their assembly in the design of a library. While open to any student, the competition is designed for advanced students. Total prize money is $7,225, including $2,500 for the winning design.
