What is it?
SSV is a new concept personal watercraft with an ability to dive underwater as well as skim across the surface like the conventional ones. In order to maneuver multi-dimentionally just like the dolphins, the vehicle is equipped with hydrofoil in the front performing similar to the wings of an airplane. The engine will be run by fuel-cell technology, and perfectly clean to the oceanic environment. SSV will be initially targeted toward recreational divers and oceanic researchers, but I believe the concept has the potential to create and expand a whole new possibilities in the personal watercraft market.

What makes this design different or better?
This is a vehicle that never existed but technologically feasible and highly marketable. It enable the divers to splash across the ocean to the diving spot and then enjoy the freedom of underwater cruising with ease. No need for boat charter, no need to carry heavy airtank in the back.

Judges commentary:
Nzomo: I like the idea of swimming with the dolphins!

Gareth: The idea of a jet ski-type vehicle that could go from a surface vehicle to a submersible was cool.
