The Virtual Garden is a gardening system composed of a water-bearing base, plant pods, and a caretaker interface unit. The Virtual Garden allows the user to bend and arrange the desired number of plant pods, like a traditional flower arrangement. The opportunity to share and trade pods with other users encourages interaction between users.

The Virtual Garden sustains plant life by sensing the environment within each hydroponic pod to regulate the plant's water, light, and nutrient consumption. Through an intuitive iconic labeling system and transparent interface, the user is given the opportunity to learn about and care for plants with minimal conscious effort.
