The home thermostat, reconsidered and redesigned to serve both the needs of people with Alzheimer disease to continue in control of some parts of their lives, and the needs of their caregivers to assure the safety of all, econom, comfort, and the reduction of the caregivers' burden of care.
This thermostat allows a person with Alzheimer disease to adjust the heat up or down, but within a limited range. The cargiver has access to the programming unit, which sets the overall parameters that the thermostat is not to exceed.
