A design initiative exploring molded fiber as an ecological material for consumer product design. Fibrid aims to transform molded fiber's market and context from industrial packaging into home furnishings.

Using the readily available raw material of recycled cardboard, Fibrid products are designed for transient apartment dwellers, who will re-intorduce the material into the wastestream when they are finished with it. The project challenges the designer to approach a project holistically, bridging ecological, industrial and commercial incentives to create elegant design solutions.
