Phoneless is a mobile phone with a detachable caller identification bracelet. The removable display functions as a fashion accessory while notifying the user of incoming calls. Upon receiving a call, if the user wishes to accept the call,
the bracelet can send a "please hold while I retrieve my phone" message to the caller, allowing the user to retrieve the body of the phone and answer the call.
By turning the remote piece of the phone into an accessory, the user simultaneously projects an image of technical sophistication and exclusivity. This item helps the user balance their needs-connectivity, privacy, and mobility.
