This device looks at domestic energy use as one area where user actions can make a significant difference in our changing world. Project Conscience aims to reduce domestic electricity use by making users aware of the financial implications of their current energy usage habits. Hard wired into the home network, it will deliver accurate and real time information to the user graphically via bar graph and ambient lighting - the principle being that consumers will use less in order to pay less.
