foldIT is a system that reflects today's do-it-yourself and eco-consciouss culture by enabling the users build up their own gadget. It simply works by getting a housing board that is premade out of cardboard and shaping it by folding, cutting and gluing, very much like building a paper model. After that, the user tacks the electronic components from a variety of choices according to the specifications she wants on her device. When the user is done with her gadget, or bored of its form and functions, or the housing gets messed up; she can easily get a new board or design her own and recycle the cardboard, thus eliminating the junks of unused electronic components and plastic parts in the environment.
