A massive series of earthquakes that took place in the Indian Ocean on Sunday morning have caused a tsunami to devistate the coastal areas from Thailand to Somalia. As of right now, 23,000+ people have been killed and 750,000 have been driven from their homes. Architecture for Humanity has been contacted by several regional NGOs to help with the relief effort. Already they have set up a online donation system for a relief fund and are seeking local architectural and engineering contacts for possible consultation work. Click here to donate.
Hopefully, the world design community can join up and donate our talents and resources.
