Safety on the minds of designers worldwide
Seems the MoMA is not the only design group thinking about safety these days. The Panorama Internacional de Design 05 in Rio de Janeiro opens on November 16th with the theme Safety Nest. According to their site:
National and international designers translate the meaning and nature of safety in design from a cultural, conceptual and personal point of view. Thirteen installations speak of basic instincts to keep us safe from the dangers and threats of the external world.Designers from across South America, along with several from North America and Europe will participate in the event, which includes workshops and lectures.
