| Random International -- split68 Royal College of Art graduates Flo Ortkrass, Stuart Wood, and Hannes Koch have collaborated as Random International in London since 2002, accomplishing freelance work as well as their own projects. One of their more recent works, split68, was created in collaboration with Dutch designer Caroline Noordijk. Split68 is an interactive, modular adaptation for fluorescent tube lighting. The individual white plastic styrene modules can be rotated and arranged at will, so as to disperse the direction of light according to the user's preference. The formations can be patterned as organic, geometric, or random and accommodate all lengths of fluorescent tube lights. The modules, which come in various widths, can be mixed and matched to alter the intensity of emanating light. The Split family also includes a vertical arrangement, an aluminum version, and a high-resolution version which uses color elements.
