Inventory Series 02: Fulton Table

These tables pair two objects that enter the designer’s visual sphere on a daily basis. In the Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood in Brooklyn, card tables are used in multiple ways on the street, from old men’s card games to occasional party and BBQ furniture. Belts are part of young people’s obsession with fashion accessories, matching to hats and sneakers. The pairing of the tables with the belts reconfigures their original contexts. Giving them a new, surreal meaning.
