6.8 Billion Family

Multi-color puzzle shaped "zabuton" (Zah-boo-tone; a flat floor cushion usually used for sitting or kneeling on in Japan). The concept is based on the world population (6.8 billion), with each puzzle shaped zabuton representing a person. In the (translated) words of the designer, "Each piece of a puzzle is small, and each one has a different shape, size, and color. People are the same way - we can't live wholly on our own. If your piece of the puzzle is damaged, the jigsaw puzzle that is the world we live in, can't be completed."
