Hiking backpacks encourage users to explore and enjoy the great outdoors. The materials and manufacturing processes used in their production destroy our planet. There is no purpose for a hiking backpack if there are no outdoors to enjoy.

This leads me to my project - the Yeago lightweight sustainable hiking backpack.

Bamboo, a soft breathable fabric from 100% bamboo is used on all interaction points. The formed Eco resin rigid framesheet is made from 40% post industrial waste, 100% recyclable, and is the strongest commercial resin available. The framesheet also has two aluminum stays made from 100% recycled cans to increase stiffness. All materials are sourced within 1000 miles of the fictional Colorado-based headquarters to reduce pollution, energy consumption, and cost from material transportation.
