Clearly Nano
Earlier this week, scientists at the University of Florida announced that they have successfully created a flexible sheet of carbon nanotubes which is transparent to light. The film is created by "straining" a solution of nanotubes through a filter which is later dissolved away -- kind of like nano-scopic paper making. Since nanotubes are also capable of being semiconductors the researchers hope to use this film as the substrate for a flexible screen in computing and electronic devices.
